Laura Moreton-Griffiths short-listed for The Jerwood Drawing Prize 2010.
Originally established in 1994, the Jerwood Drawing Prize is the largest and longest running annual open exhibition for drawing in the UK. The exhibition aims to promote and reward excellence and talent in contemporary drawing practice.

Artists Graham Crowley and Timothy Hyman selected works for this year's Barbican Arts Group Trust exhibition at ArtWorks Project Space. Laura Moreton-Griffiths’ painting ‘Millais’ crime scene’ is being exhibited in a survey of works by artists working in 2-dimensional media, including painting, printmaking, photography and relief sculpture.

It looked like a flash mob outside Bankside Gallery last Wednesday. In fact it was the opening of SouthLondonWomenArtists’ first big central London show at this South Bank gallery next to the Tate Modern. Over 500 people were there, including art professionals, curators, buyers and the Deputy Mayor of Southwark.

Drawings and paintings inspired by 18th century Staffordshire pottery, now mere traces of Arcadia and our rural traditions. The new work and giclee prints were well received at the private view on Friday night. Much fun had by all, good sales and a prospective commission. The show continues at the Jeannie Avent Gallery until March 31.
