Thinking about landscape’s subjugation, domestic dumping and the whitecube, Laura transplants a large turf to the inside of an abandoned fridge taken from her street and installed in a gallery setting. Resilient, the plants thrive. Laura makes reference to Durer’s Large turf 1503. It is a drawing of a patch of land, grasses and wild plants, that in its detail and execution elevates the status of the over-looked.
